IU Conferences provides support services for international events, including symposia, workshops, alumni receptions, short-term student travel courses, and international student recruitment programs.
Currently, these are the services we most commonly provide:
- Logistical arrangements such as air travel, in-country travel, hotel reservations, catering, and meeting room planning
- Payment of expenses such as travel, hotel reservations, in-country travel, catering expenses, and travel advances for expenses that cannot be billed directly or paid in advance
- Registration and payment collection, including bursar billing for student trips
When needed, IU Conferences assists clients in site selection, hotel contract negotiation, and preparing, updating, and managing the budget.
In many cases, IU Conferences liaisons with IU Gateway offices utilizing gateway facilities and their local expertise. Additionally, IU Conferences often relies on the services of researched and reliable destination management companies with whom relationships have been established and services vetted.
