I have had the pleasure of working with Indiana University Conferences staff since 2010. For ten years they have provided event management for the Annual Peptide Therapeutic Symposium. They have maintained a level of excellence that has become a hallmark of the conference. In 2020 we were faced with the additional challenges posed by the global pandemic. Michelle and the team at IUC did not falter, when given 5 months to change the format from a one and half day in person meeting to two day a online live virtual event.

In 2021, our team worked with IU Conference Services to host our LGBTQ+ Health Care Conference. With the help of IU Conferences, the task of presenting a world class conference to a rapidly growing registration group seemed much less daunting. Cameron, our Conference Services representative, expanded our bandwidth by presenting innovative ideas, coaching presenters and conference organizers on best practices, and demonstrating the best in communication standards. I don’t know where we’d be without Cameron and his larger department. What I do know is that with Cameron’s help, we pulled off a conference 3 times larger than which we previously hosted and it was presented with the highest professional standards and with an outstanding aesthetic. 2021 LGBTQ+ Health Care Conference
It was an absolute greatest pleasure to work with Cameron Chambers on our Regional Medical Education Conference. This year we were challenged of converting an in-person conference to a virtual conference. Cameron was committed to this challenge and brought this conference to light by going above and beyond to innovate an exceptional two-day virtual conference. Cameron was attentive, flexible, organized, resourceful, and provided great communication. He helped make the event run smoothly and ensured everything was well-coordinated. He was an essential, extended member of our team.

The Society for Ethnomusicology has worked with Indiana University Conferences to organize its Annual Meeting since 2001. Time and again, IUC has proven to be an outstanding meeting planner, from site selection and contract negotiations to logistics, abstract management, program layout, and attendee services. The members of the IUC team are consummate professionals who are dedicated to their clients and determined to ensure the success of conferences. In 2020, SEM had to quickly pivot to a virtual conference format due to Covid-19. Kristy Ebelhar and her colleagues were ahead of the curve in selecting and implementing an online conference platform. Their exceptional work over several months enabled us to hold a large-scale virtual conference that supported the goals of our organization and that was applauded by our attendees.
