Summer Conference Programs

Your resource for summer conferences

IU Conferences arranges housing, meals, catering and function space reservation in the IU Bloomington residence halls during the summer months for both youth and adult programs. The summer conference season runs from late May to the end of July.

IU Conferences determines the program needs and then matches those needs with the appropriate residence hall facilities and services. We coordinate with the residence halls staff to provide the best experience for our guests during their stay.

Policy on programs involving children

University policy requires that groups of young people under the age of 18 be supervised according to strict regulations designed to assure the safety and protection of underage youth during their stay on campus.

Read the policy

Over 20,000 guests stay in the residence halls each summer as part of over 120 youth programs and adult conferences.

Residence hall lodging

There are residential housing options available on campus during the summer months. All facilities are air-conditioned. Many facilities have been recently renovated, and wireless internet access in most common areas. Laundry facilities are located in each residence center.

Meal plans

Indiana University has a variety of dining options, including food courts, cafeteria-style dining, campus cafes, and convenience stores.

Residential dining can provide a broad range of services, including banquets, picnics, boxed lunches, or all-you-care-to-eat meals. Menus are planned with a wide variety of entrees, side dishes, salads, beverages, and desserts. In addition, our staff is always ready to coordinate meals that meet specific dietary restrictions.

Meeting facilities

Most residence halls include function spaces such as lounges, classrooms, and recreation rooms. In some cases, open-area auditorium space is available for meetings, sessions, dinners, and social events such as dances and music performances. During the summer months, these spaces provide an opportunity for groups to center many of their activities in and around their place of lodging.
